New Jeep Gladiator in Hazard KY
Eastern Kentucky is an Adventure in the All-New Jeep Gladiator
There are plenty of mid-size trucks out there that can both do the heavy lifting and head off-road for fun, but none stand out quite like the all-new Jeep Gladiator. In trims ranging from Sport and Sport S to Overland and the hardcore Rubicon, it's all a trucker that works hard and plays harder could hope to find for nearly any application. Get in the cab and see for yourself here at Tim Short Chrysler of Hazard!
Iconic Jeep styling's likely to capture your attention first, followed by the top-down, open-air freedom suggested by Sunrider soft-top and Freedom Top modular three-piece hardtop options. Step in and start up. You'll have two engine options to choose from, and the feel of both under-hood is palpable. One's a spirited 3.6-liter V6 producing 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The other's a workhorse, a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 shelling 260 horsepower backed by a metaphorically tire-shredding 442 pound-feet of torque. That's a lot of raw power, but Jeep Gladiator can use it fairly efficiently; equipped with an automatic transmission, the EPA estimates the pickup can achieve up to 17 mpg in cities like Whitesburg and 22 mpg on the highway between Manchester and Winchester KY.
Properly equipped, Jeep Gladiator can haul 1,600-pound payloads and tow as much as 7,650 pounds, the latter a best-in-class rating. With help from trailer sway control, that means you can lug anything from pallets of building materials -- with the five-foot bed and three-position tailgate, it's easy to load longer and larger quarry -- to weekend toys like dirt bikes or ATVs. Doing so proceeds smoothly and confidently over harsh terrain, too, thanks to a five-link coil suspension and options like a Command-Trac 4x4 with a two-speed transfer case or Rock-Trac 4WD system, not to mention heavy-duty Dana 44 front and rear axles.
Best of all, however, Jeep Gladiator is well-equipped and accommodating for nearly any excursion. Available features range from leather-trimmed seats in three configurations, from regular for passengers to stadium with cushions up and fold-flat, to dual-zone climate control, a 7-inch infotainment display and a 115-volt outlet and four USB ports for energizing outboard equipment and electronics. You can even customize the truck to your specs with more than 200 Mopar accessories.
